CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR NEW LASHES

To maintain and extend the life of your Lash Extensions follow these easy care tips

1. Where possible – shower before you arrive as we ask you do not shower or wet eyes for 24 hours after extension application. The steam from the shower can interrupt the bonding also. Do not swim or visit the spa for 48 hours after application to allow for complete bonding. NO eyeliners or mascara for the first 24 hours. Most find they don’t need any with our extensions.
2. Be gentle with your lashes. Do not excessively rub your eyes or pull on lashes. Avoid touching your extensions. The natural oils from your hands will break down the adhesive bond.
3. Only use specially formulated OutLashe Mascaras and OutLashe Cleansers for eyelash extensions. Do not use oil-based and waterproof mascaras which will cause premature shedding of extensions by dissolving the glue. Use mascara sparingly and only on the tips of the extensions; never apply from base to tip. Gently remove mascara with OutLashe Cleansers.
4. Apply OutLashe Coating Sealant daily to your new lashes to preserve the look and extend the life of your extensions. The sealant gives the lashes a wonderful shine, conditions & nourishes your natural lashes & the extensions and puts a protective sleave around the join. Simple to apply with its unique mascara wand, before any mascara. We strongly urge this when having extensions for day to day wear or holidays.
5. We recommend a Re-Lashe appointment in two weeks if this is your first time and then followed by 3-4 weekly appointments to maintain the look of your initial application.
6. Only 100% oil free cosmetics, lotions, and other items should be used on the eye area after application.

 

 

The Top 5 Reasons why Lash Extensions May Fail

1. Bad application / technique from unexperienced, under trained and poorly trained therapists (not at Beauty Image - Our Lash Stylist are consistent about doing the best set each and every client).
2. Lashes getting wet too soon after application - crying, showers and even steam (from showers or cooking) can loosen the bond and make those babies slide right off your natural lashes. WAIT 24 HOURS!
3. Wearing mascara and eye liners in the first 24 hours can prevent the extensions fully bonding to natural lashes. They come into contact directly where the glue is trying to bond to the natural lash.
4. Pulling and playing at your lash extensions, brushing them too roughly, clagging the mascara on them too thick and not cleaning them properly or gently enough.
5. Swimming, facials or spa-ing or beaching within the first 24 hours.

It is really only the first 24 hours that counts most. After that, just carry on and enjoy life as normal
- even more so when your confidence is at it's all time high!
We recommend, where possible, shower before your appointment so you don't have to shower again
for 24 hours, just sponge bath.

What are OutLashe Eyelash Extensions made of?
OutLashe extensions are made of premium quality synthetic materials. Synthetic materials are more hygienic than mink or human hair lashes which can also cause an allergic reaction. Do you know how the animal or human hair was harvested? Best we leave that to the imagination! How long do OutLashe Eyelash Extensions last?
When applied properly, semi-permanent extensions can last indefinitely. To maintain the look, Re-Lashe appointments are necessary every 2 to 3 to 4 weeks to replace the lashes that have shed or outgrown naturally. Our adhesives are formulated to hold the lash in spite of water, heat, steam or sweat, and can keep up with your busy lifestyle. OutLashe Coating Sealant can be applied twice daily, to prolong the life of the extensions - it places a protective sleeve over the join of the natural & synthetic extension, cleaning, shining conditioning of the natural & extended lash.  Once is usually sufficient, in the mornings, before the mascara if you choose to wear that.

Will I be able to sense I am wearing OutLashe Extensions?
No! Because the extensions are placed away from the base of the natural eyelashes, you won't be able to feel the extensions. Can I apply OutLashe Eyelash Extensions to my own lashes?
No- Absolutely NOT! Only a trained and certified professional will be able to safely, beautifully and professionally apply OutLashe extensions. Eye injury or clumpy, unnatural looking lashes are likely to result from unprofessional or self application. OutLashe Certified Technicians have gone through rigorous hands-on training in advanced application and design techniques, and can create a custom look tailored to your features. Our clients love the unique looks we create for them, and some exclaim we are an eyelift without the scalpel!

Can I swim, spa or have a facial service while wearing extensions?
Yes! OutLashe extensions were designed to keep up with your busy lifestyle. Our clients love how our extensions last and last, even when worn on holidays, skiing, swimming, snorkelling, and sunning all day! We recommend that you wait 24 to 48 hours before visiting the spa to allow adequate adhesive bonding. After that, resume your regular schedule.

Can I wear mascara with OutLashe Eyelash Extensions?
Yes! Although the extensions give the appearance of wearing mascara, some women choose to still wear mascara. OutLashe only recommends using OutLashe Mascaras, as they have been specially formulated for OutLashe extensions and glue. Other mascaras will cause premature shedding and distortment of the extension. If you choose to wear mascara, apply sparingly and only on tips; never apply from base to tip. We only recommend using OutLashe Eye Make-Up Removers, which are also specially formulated not to affect the bond of OutLashe Adhesive.

Do OutLashe Eyelash Extensions harm my natural lashes?
No! Since OutLashe extensions are applied on your existing natural lashes away from the base, never touching the skin, the growth cycle of the natural lash is not affected. Beauty Image has trained stylists who know how to apply and NOT affect or damage natural lashes. Under trained and untrained therapists who do not know how to work the glue can cause damage to your natural lashes as shown in the photos on awfully painful lashes applied above.

When am I NOT a good Candidate for Eyelash Extensions?
You must have some natural eyelashes for this procedure. Extensions should not be applied on individuals who have alopecia or who suffer from trichotillomania or thrichosis. If you have any eye condition where the eye does not look healthy or have an adhesive or latex allergy, you are probably not a candidate for eyelash extensions. Consult with your ophthalmologist for a recommendation. If you have reacted to eyelash extensions before, chances are you have an above mentioned allergy. An allergy would have your eyes completely swollen, red, sore and painful, it is not advised to ‘take the chance’ if you have reacted previously. If in doubt or unsure ask for a patch test.

How long does an OutLashe Eyelash Extension Application take?
Depending on the skill level of the technician, an OutLashe-Certified Technician will take between 90 to 120 minutes to apply a full set of extensions.

How many eyelash extensions are in an OutLashe full set?
This varies-see our pricelist for the choice you have available.  Here is where the real difference is! Depending on how many natural lashes you have, on average an OutLashe full set application consists of between 70 to 150 extensions placed on each eye. The results are astonishing! The OutLashe technicians are trained to be real artisans when it comes to the application. Trained OutLashe Certified technicians take into account a client's face shape, eye shape, eye placement, and brow arch to create a unique look for every client. That result is a customized eye-enhancing look.

Is the Eyelash Extension Application comfortable?
Yes! It is such a comfortable process that most of our clients are so relaxed that they fall asleep. During the application, you are reclined on a massage bed with specialty leg and neck pillows with the eyes closed. In fact, we prefer you do have a snooze – this means we can fully concentrate on applying the best set of lash extensions we’ve ever done!

Is there a difference between OutLashe Eyelash Extensions and other products available?
Yes, Absolutely a HUGE difference! The three main differences are how natural OutLashe extensions look, how long that they last and how they affect your natural eyelashes. At Beauty Image, the biggest difference of Outlashe extensions is how long they last for our clients, we have used & trialled many brands and found these quality extensions last so much longer therefore are a better option of affordability.

Some other products available are: eyelash strips, flares, clusters, lash tabs, mascaras, or the new eyelash growing liquids on the market.
False eyelash strips are the oldest and probably most well known product. They involve using a gummy adhesive that touches the skin, and are the least natural looking. Lash strips only last a day and can come off or dislodge during the course of wear – how embarrassing!

Flares, clusters, and lash tabs are often misrepresented in the market as eyelash extensions. These products consist of between 3 to 8 lash bunches with a node or knot at the end. Application involves adhesive touching the skin or the node adhered to multiple natural lash bases, which often damage the natural lashes. Beware of the individual eyelashes that come in trays! These lashes may look like they are the same as single eyelash extensions, but they are the farthest thing from it, because they have an adhesive bead on them. Often this is the adhesive used to adhere to the lashes and it is clear and gummy. If eyelash adhesive is used in conjunction with the adhesive the look will not be natural at all, looking claggy in your eye!

Mascaras that create tubes do not create volume and length as extensions do. The product smudges and creates the raccoon-eye effect. Over usage of this product weakens and damages the lashes. Removal of this product from your lashes is often very difficult due to the mascara's thick nature and pulls your natural out, leaving gaps. Have you seen how these products can make an attractive girl so very unattractive?

The new lash growing liquids are very difficult products to use, and to see results application must be done twice daily consistently, sometimes waiting 6+ weeks for obvious changes.

The eyelash extension procedure is very relaxing and comfortable. A full set takes about 90-120 minutes to complete.
